Yes indeedy! I was so pleased to finally see this cos I knew that I could see this in Okinawa! Wonder whether I can get one to grow in Kanto in summer...?! I did manage to get one (surprisingly very edible) watermelon on my balcony last year...!
Watermelon is mainly desert fruit, but pineapple - tropical. Must be more difficult to grow, but it looks nice as fruit. At least it will remind you Okinawa! :)
